The bed in the Green Room is a luxurious, extra-long six-foot double. The spacious sitting room and crisply modern shower room – right next door – are shared with the Blue Room to create our two-bedroom “Family Suite”, ideal for a family or just friends or colleagues travelling together

Between the two bedrooms there’s a generous sitting area with a large Smart TV, plenty of games for all ages, and boxes of vintage Lego and Playmobil for the young (or just young at heart)

Paintings are by local artist Diana Williams, and Susie Gradwell from Moorlynch hand-cut the pretty stencils on the apple green walls of the Green Room

Sometimes the Green Room is available for two guests without the Blue Room, but including the sitting room – or if you prefer twin beds, we can do the same thing with the Blue Room. Please call us for more information

Finally, guests with mobility issues should be aware that there are two flights of stairs to the Family Suite, the second being a semi-circular spiral. Once again, please talk to us before booking if that’s a problem

East of Eden - a real retreat and treat!

We stayed with Bill and Rosie last week. Our twin boys of seven were very well catered for with their own room and plenty of toys and games to play with. It’s a truly beautiful location - a wonderful spot to stop, contemplate life, reflect and relax. The village of Nunney and its very friendly residents are an absolute delight. We enjoyed the fun down at The George last Friday night for Flamingo Fridays! The setting was like a village in the South of France - just idyllic and our hosts went out of their way to cater for our every need.

Rosie’s fresh home baked bread in the morning was delicious. The place was even nicer to stay in than the hotel we stayed in two nights later. Penny’s Mill was immaculate and I couldn’t recommend it enough. We will be back but don’t tell too many people - a little gem like this is hard to find and best kept a secret for return visits!
